The debate between Republican Tom Foley and Democrat Dan Malloy was not too much about politics, and what they’re going to do, it was more of criticisms and calling each other out on topics they did and did not do or talk about. They accused the other of planning to raise taxes and misrepresenting the other's record, and other stupid arguments. Foley had some good arguments and addressed Malloy’s plan to cut from the state budget to reduce Connecticut's projected $3.3 billion deficit for the next fiscal year. He said Malloy's plans would require a $3 billion tax increase, or $2,000 per family in the state. But as usual Malloy, the former mayor of Stamford, shot back that what Foley was saying just wasn't true. So if I was able to vote I would have to vote for Tom Foley. I would vote for him because right now we are in somewhat of a recession and I think Tom Foleys business back round could help us dig ourselves out of this massive hole we are in.
